Sharing is Caring #6
Carl Nogueira
Hi all, Thought I'd throw out another installment, since it has been a while. Nice slow day here, so here goes. As always, :-0 means news to me, otherwise, just thought you'd like the FYI. With no further ado, to the rules.
A9.2 When determining the number of times a target may be engaged via rof in a location during movement, you frd the MF/MP. Why do I include this? I have heard it asked many times, "how many shots do I get vs that guy in the grain?" (mf 1.5), the answer is one.
A9.21 :-0 Was unaware that 20L atr's have their ca fixed when firing. Also, if a unit opersting a weapon whose ca becomes fixed by firing out of its present location becomes pinned, it ca is fixed right through to the end of Final Fire, not just movement.
A9.22 Q&A This one comes up alot. A mg suffering from ammo shortage may NOT lay a fire lane, as it is not good order.
A9.22 Q&A :-0 A mg firing as ordanance MAY lay a fire lane. ( News to me)
A9.221 Alternate hexgrain fire lanes, have to be designated as to the side they are on. ( left-right).
A9.222 Many players assume that NO hinderances apply to fire lane resolution. Not so. If the hinderance is not on this list, contained in this rule section, it will modify the shot as normal. AFV's, wreck and orchards being the most common examples.
A9.222 :-0 MONDO *********:-0 Huge ramifications for fire lanes vs Banzai's/human waves. When a fire lane is placed vs an impulse moving unit, after the original attack of the shot is resolved, the fire lane then IMMEDIATLEY attacks all of the other members of that impulse move on that mf if they are in a location now containing that firelanes residual!!!!!!!!!! Translation, my mmg fires at a banzai Japanese unit, resolves its attack, and successfully places its firelane, there are, on that same mf, 3 other Japanese units that are in its residual hexes currently, they all get whacked with a table 2 with applicable mods, now, before even going another step !!!!!!!
A9.222 Q&A Does a roll get made vs an AFV with no vulnerable PRC, that is its self invulnerable to attacks on the ITF when it enters a fire lane? No. Can't drive down the firelane with your BU tank, hoping to malf the mg.
A9.223 Q&A If a unit fires a mg to create a firelane and then uses its inherent FP as SFF later, does this cancel the fire lane? A squad may fire its inherent as FIRST fire, without canceling the firelane, after firing the mg ONLY to lay the fire lane. Thereafter SFF is only allowed vs TPBF opps. (which would cancel the fire lane in all cases.)
A9.3 :-0 Vechicular MG's may sustain fire, IF they are MA only.
A9.4 :-0 At a range greater than 16 hexes, mg fire does not treat broken, beserk or overstacked units as automaticly concealed for the purpose of that shot.
A9.4 Q&A Delete aerial from the last sentence, makes a difference to that light AA fire.
A9.5 :-0 Vechicular mg's may spary fire IF MA.
A9.52 If a mg is spray firing within a FG, all units of that FG must also be spraying, and visca versa.
A9.6 Strongly infered that a cap mg uses Red TH numbers. Oppinions.?
A9.61 Q&A A vehicular mg may only fire as ordanance vs another AFV, if it is MA. Fire vs unarmored is allowed iregardless. (ie; if your ma malfs, you can't use a bmg/cmg/aamg to shoot up your opponents trash tank.)
A9.72 Beserk units cannot repair a weapon, only a crew can repair a GUN, ( not a temp crew at that)
A9.72 Q&A FYI, DM weapons retain their repair numbers.
A9.73 You deliberately malf a weapon, not just destory it. Why do such a thing? Possibly useful in a CG, where you may be counterattacking over the same ground, and have a chance to get that MMG/HMG back.
A9.74 An overunning vehicle can try to eliminate unpossesed SW. Also be mindful that OBA can destroy/malf an unpossesed SW/GUN in its blast radius.
A9.8 Russians may DM their 50 cal (only) Captured weapons may be assembles/disassembled, if otherwise allowed.
Well, thats it. On to happy dandy section 10 next ( yech) Carl N
